Home Delivered Meals
Volunteer drivers can serve in short term, long term, or seasonal capacities, as well as act as a substitute when a regular driver may not be available. Business Sponsorships & Outreach Opportunities
Host a Social – You will be provided with a table in the lobby to display all of your marketing materials. These socials provide an opportunity to “meet and greet” the seniors in our community. Spend a few moments talking to them about your services and how you can assist them, then hand them your publications with a treat. Most agencies host socials with cookies, ice cream, Danishes, muffins, coffee, donuts, hot chocolate or apple cider. These socials could also be game based, such as “Spin to Win.”
Provide an Educational Presentation – You can either give a presentation on a topic important to seniors (ex. Diabetes prevention, stroke awareness, cost of assisted living facilities, how to prepare to move, etc.) or partner with another expert to deliver the presentation. Presentations are usually 11 a.m. – 11:45 a.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays. You may still meet and greet at a table in the Lobby from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. and pass out your information from the table before and after the presentation.
Sponsor an Activity – Several agencies visit our seniors once a month to host a special activity. This could be in the form of free haircuts, free manicures, free chair massages, or free make and take arts and crafts. You can also cover the cost of a travel group or lunch either in full or partial to help offset the cost to seniors. Your business name and logo will be printed on all flyers, included on our website and Facebook page, and formally recognized during the event itself.
Goodie Bag Donations – We have businesses that regularly donate goodie bags to our seniors for their monthly parties or travel groups. The parties are attended by 100 to 150 seniors each month, and travel groups can be anywhere between 16 to 50 seniors. You can include your flyers, brochures, business cards, small candies, pens, note pads, or any type of give away. The travel groups are often on a bus anywhere from 25 minutes to an hour, and the participants often read through materials handed to them upon boarding.
Bingo Prize Donations – We play Bingo three times a week and give cash prizes for all our winners. The seniors do not have to buy in to play; the game is completely free. Companies may wish to donate small items to pair with the cash prizes to make the game more special and exciting for the senior participants.
Sponsor the Party Entertainment – Each month the Senior Center hosts a holiday or themed party for the seniors. To make these events more enjoyable, we hire a live entertainer to sing and play for an hour. Your company could sponsor the entertainer and have your business logo added to all of our flyers and acknowledgements.
Adopt a Senior/Angel Tree – Every year, during the holiday season, we have our frail and homebound seniors create a wish list of items they are in need of receiving. Companies or individuals can then “adopt” the senior for the holiday season and make their wishes come true!
